Physical performance requirements:

‌Strength requirements: The strength of steel fibers is an important indicator of their quality. Common strength grades include low strength (LS), medium strength (MS) and high strength (HS). When conducting physical performance tests, the steel fibers should be subjected to tensile, torsion and impact tests in accordance with the relevant standards to ensure that they meet the corresponding strength requirements.
‌Corrosion resistance: Steel fibers may be corroded by chemicals and moisture in the environment during use, so corrosion resistance is also an important consideration. Steel fibers should undergo salt spray tests, acid and alkali erosion tests, etc. to evaluate their corrosion resistance.
‌Fiber shape and size: The shape and size of steel fibers have an important influence on their dispersion and reinforcement effect in concrete. Common steel fiber shapes are steel wires or steel wire bundles with a diameter of 0.2-1.0 mm, a length of 10-60 mm, and a diameter of 0.2-0.6 mm.
‌Chemical composition requirements‌:

‌Main element content‌: The chemical composition of steel fiber has an important influence on its physical properties and corrosion resistance. The content range of various main elements (such as carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, etc.) should be clarified to ensure that the steel fiber meets the corresponding chemical composition requirements.
‌Impurity content‌: Impurities refer to other elements or compounds other than the main elements, which will affect the performance of steel fiber. The steel fiber should be tested for impurity content, and corresponding standards should be formulated to clarify the allowable content range of various impurities.
‌Production process requirements‌:

‌Raw material selection‌: High-quality raw materials should be selected for production, and the raw materials should have certain strength and corrosion resistance.
‌Production process control‌: During the production process, each link should be strictly controlled to ensure the consistency and stability of the product. Including raw material pretreatment, drawing, cutting and other links need to be strictly controlled, and a corresponding quality management system should be established.
‌Testing methods and equipment‌: The quality inspection of steel fiber is an important link to ensure that it meets the technical requirements, and appropriate testing methods and equipment should be used for testing.
‌Other technical requirements‌:

‌Impurity content‌: The surface of the steel fiber shall not be oily, coated with harmful substances or impurities that affect the bonding between the steel fiber and concrete‌.
‌Length deviation‌: The length deviation of the steel fiber shall not exceed 10% of the standard length, and at least 10 fibers shall be randomly inspected in each batch‌.
‌Diameter or equivalent diameter qualified rate‌: The diameter or equivalent diameter qualified rate of steel fibers shall not be less than 90%, and the weight method can be used for inspection. 100 fibers shall be sampled in each batch, weighed with a balance, and the length measured with a caliper. The equivalent average value obtained is required to meet the requirements‌.
