In 1960, steel wire steel fiber was introduced. In 1970, Bekaert invented steel fibers with hooks at both ends to improve the bond strength with concrete. In 1974, Bekaert invented the water-soluble adhesive bonded rows of Jamix® steel wire fibers 3D to improve the dispersion of steel fibers.
